5 acquitted in murder case

New Delhi: A court here has acquitted five persons accused of abduction and murder of a west Delhi businessman expressing doubts over the police claim that a financial dispute had led to the nine-year-old murder.

Additional Sessions judge Bharat Parashar acquitted Yogender, and four others, noting “the fact of any monetary transaction between Naresh (victim) and Yogender was developed by the investigating agency at a later stage to render credence to the case as the same was omitted by victim’s father in the complaint.” The court also doubted the recovery of the victim’s articles allegedly at the instance of the accused.
