Inaugurating the Pediatric Centre and the Institute of Child Health at the Niloufer Hospital in Hyderabad on November 11, Dr. S. Radharkshnan, Vice-President, said that if they were to prepare their children for the “new-world” that was emerging they should take steps to ensure their mental and spiritual health just as they were taking steps to promote their physical well-being. The Vice-President also laid the foundation-stone of the Out-patient Department of the Centre in the presence of a large and distinguished gathering. Dr. Radhakrishnan, in the course of his address, said: “The age to-day is one of advance in science and also increasing unification of the world. It is only natural that the WHO and the UNICEF should have collaborated with the India Government and the State Governments in the establishment of the Centre.
