JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Government’s Cooperative Department has taken special steps for checking corruption and started disposing of work within 24 hours of cases being presented. Disposal of work is done in 72 hours only in special circumstances. The Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Sudhansh Pant, said at the launch of a Vigilance Week of Krishak Bharati Cooperative Limited (Kribhco) here on Monday that the tendency to delay work often promotes corruption and emphasised the need to take prompt action against the guilty officials. Mr. Pant said sincere officials and those showing honesty and integrity in the performance of work should be encouraged. He said transparency in work and quick disposal of pending cases would go a long way in checking the use of fraudulent means. Kribhco, which is the country’s premier cooperative society for fertiliser manufacture, has been organising vigilance weeks every year since 2001.
