World Diabetes Day

PUDUCHERRY: The Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) will hold programmes to mark the World Diabetes Day.

According to a JIPMER release, a health orientation programme for the patients of the Diabetic Clinic and their attendants is slated for Tuesday afternoon.

A rally will be held on the Beach Road near the Gandhi statue at 7 a.m. on Wednesday to highlight this year’s World Health Organisation’s theme, “Diabetes Mellitus in Children and Adolescents.” A CME programme for doctors would be held in JIPMER on November 18 on the management of Diabetes Mellitus in children, the release said. — Special Correspondent
