JD(S) thinking of outside support?
Bangalore Bureau
BANGALORE: A section of Janata Dal (Secular) legislators, opposed to the alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), have reportedly told the party leadership to refrain from joining the Government and, instead, extend outside support to the B.S. Yeddyurappa Ministry, which assumed office on Monday. JD(S) Legislature Party leader and former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy refused to clarify on this matter when his attention was drawn to this by The Hindu. “I agree there is such a proposal. It is left to the leadership to finalise. As of now, we have agreed to participate in the Government and want all 18 Ministers, including the Deputy Chief Minister, to be sworn in on the same day,” he said.
