Council meet postponed

KANCHEEPURAM: The urgent council meeting convened by Municipal Chairman V.Rajendran for November 13 to decide the fate of underground sewage network expansion project in Kancheepuram municipality was postponed for want of quorum. Reading out a statement in the council hall, Mr.Rajendran said the meeting was postponed since councillors belonging to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and their alliance partner the Pattali Makkal Katchi and the Congress boycotted Tuesday’s meeting. — Staff Reporter
