Woman’s chain snatched

VILLUPURAM: Two motorcycle-borne persons waylaid a teacher, threw chilli powder into her eyes and snatched away 11-sovereign gold chain on Monday. The police said when D.Kalaiselvi (38) of Mallandi was riding a moped to her school at Alampoondi the culprits blocked her way and committed the offence. — Special Correspondent
