CHENNAI: A seminar addressed by former director of the Central Bureau of Investigation R.K.Raghavan and launch of a special vigilance bulletin were part of Vigilance Awareness Week programmes organised by the Southern Railway headquarters here on Monday.
According to a press release, the Week commenced with the General Manager of Southern Railway Rakesh Chopra administering a pledge to the railway workforce. Addressing the seminar, Dr. Raghavan explained the concept of vigilance work, interface with public and deterrent action against officials involved in corruption.
There was a talk on ‘Overview of Vigilance’ by K.Balakesari, former Member Staff of Railway Board.
Sensitising employees
At the southern region office of Indian Oil Corporation here, the week-long activities, to sensitise the customers, employees and other stakeholders on vigilance related issues were inaugurated by Sunil Kumar, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Chennai.
