Lakhmipur-Kheri: Panic gripped the town after a tiger from nearby Dudhwa National Park strayed into a village and hid in a field near here with forest officials armed with tranquilisers waiting to trap the big cat. The tiger was hiding in a field near Ramuapur village and has been surrounded by the forest officials. Tranquilisers were brought from Lucknow to capture it. The officials said a large crowd that had gathered near the spot was hampering their efforts to trap the tiger.
