NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit announced on Monday that a modern, spacious and green “Haj Manzil” will be constructed soon at Dwarka in South-West Delhi.
“The Delhi Government will also make Haj Manzil a permanent asset for all Haj yatris, where all necessary amenities would be made available. The Delhi Development Authority has agreed to allot a one-acre plot to the Revenue Department for construction of a new Haj Manzil,” said Ms. Dikshit at a function organised at Indira Gandhi International Airport here to bid farewell to the first batch of Haj pilgrims. Nearly 1,300 Haj pilgrims left for Saudi Arabia by air on Monday.
