HYDERABAD: The State Government has suspended four officials on the charges of neglecting their duties even as charges are being framed against the Peddapuram Municipal Commissioner for dereliction of duties in ensuring maintenance of proper sanitation.
The sanitary supervisor, sanitary inspector, municipal assistant engineer S. Satyanarayana and another engineer, A. Uday Kumar, had been placed under suspension.
A decision to this effect was taken at a review meeting convened by Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Tuesday where he warned that the Government would not tolerate negligence on the part of officials concerned in ensuring supply of safe drinking water and sanitation.
