Local body bypolls on December 17

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Byelections in 11 local body wards across the State would take place on December 17, State Election Commissioner P. Kamal Kutty has said.

The wards going for byelections are Payyampally in Nedumangad (Thiruvananthapuram), Asuramangalam in Idamulackal Grama Panchayat and Asupathrimukku in Elamballur (Kollam), Kappil Kuttippuram in Krishnapuram (Alappuzha), Akanad Thekk in Mudakkazha and Varappetti Vadakk in Varappetti (Ernakulam), Menon Bazar in Kodungalloor Block Panchayat (Thrissur), Vandithavalam in Chittur Block Panchayat (Palakkad), Thrissileri in Thirunelli (Wayanad) and Peruvalath Parambu in Irukkur and Azhikkal in New Mahe (Kannur).
