Jawan’s body brought home

KOCHI: The body of Subedar Shiju Alex (32), who was killed after a colleague opened fire at him in Jammu and Kashmir, was brought here at Cochin International Airport Limited on Tuesday afternoon.

The body was brought by an Indian flight from Delhi at 1.30 p.m. Wife Jaisy survives the deceased. Idukki MLA Roshi Augustin and Aluva tahsildar M.K. Sundaresan, representing Ernakulam District Collector, placed wreaths on the body.

The victim was serving with the 105 Air Defence Regiment. — Staff Reporter
