Enterprise Orissa 2007 in December

BHUBANESWAR: In a bid to showcase the achievement of Orissa industries and its potential to trigger all-round development in the society, the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) is organising the 12th Enterprise Orissa 2007 here from December 6 to 10.

Addressing a press conference, CII’s Orissa Chapter Chairman H. M. Nerurkar said the State witnessed unprecedented industrial boom in the recent times and the event would highlight industrial activities. Special focus of the event would be ‘Building People – Building Orissa’ considering the immense need for skill development to cope with the rapid industrialisation. It would provide an excellent platform for one-to-one interaction with resource provider and resource consumers, CII said.

Participants across varied sectors including industries, banking, insurance, automobiles, government department and home appliances would put up about 150 stalls at the Exhibition Ground during the first week of December. The CII also proposed to organise an investor meet among enterprises working in agro processing, mineral, tourism and infrastructure sector. Mr. Nerurkar hoped that state government-industries-public interface would help generate an attitude for pro industrialisation.
