Finest films in the Asian Panorama synopsis

Once A Crow:

Part of the Asian Panorama, the film is about a greedy crow fond of cheese, soap and also shiny objects like door keys, buttons, coins and jewels. The interest in this objects leads to a number of problems especially when precious jewels belonging to the king are stolen.

Mahek Mirza:

Young Mahek dreams of becoming the President of India but is clueless about how to realise the dream. Mahek spends all her time daydreaming about saving others from harm, . But when her dream disappears, she is face to face with the harsh realities of life.

Finding Friends:

Things are not looking good when 12- year- old Petter and the rest of the family moves to a small farm in the middle of nowhere for the summer. But the countryside is not as quiet and peaceful as Petter thinks.

Care of Footpath

This is the story of an orphan who is adopted by an old lady. She brings him to live with her in the slum. An encounter with some school students, changes his life. How the rag-picker struggles to get through the 7th grade without ever attending schools is the run up to the climax.

The film follows a momentous day in the life of an Indian taxi driver who chases his dream of driving an air-conditioned car.

The Head In The Stars

A young man tries to see the stars from his window but the city lights shine too bright. He feels disappointed and decides to leave the city in his car. He drives until he finds a nice hill where he pitches his tent and begins to enjoy life.

The Sprout

The film depicts a sprout, which is unhappy at being stuck to the ground. It wants to move around and go ahead. But sadly its ambition makes it fall to death. However, as death is not the end for plants, it grows again. And this time, it is stronger than ever before.

Khan Kluey

Directed by Kompin Kemgumnird, the film is a wonderful fresco about Thai culture and history, a story about the animal considered by the Thai people to be a national symbol and about the close relationship that they have had with elephants for centuries.
