Workshop on dentistry today

Manipal: Manipal College of Dental Sciences (MCODS) at Manipal and Mangalore will be hosting an India Research Initiative Workshop of the International Association of Dental Research (IADR) on November 14 and 15.

In a press release issued here on Monday, Shobha Tandon, dean, MCODS, Manipal, said these institutions had been chosen to conduct this workshop because of their world-class standards in dental education. It would be held at MCODS, Manipal on November 14 and Mangalore on November 15.

The team, which will participate in the workshop, comprises eight delegates who are renowned names in dentistry. The team will be led by Jocelyne Feine from McGill University, Canada. Other members are: Gopalkrishnan Netuveli from International Centre for Life Course Studies in Society and Health, Imperial College, London; Jamil David, Associate Professor, Department of Community Dentistry, University of Bergen, Norway; Paul Allison, Associate Professor, Faculty of Dentistry, McGill University, Canada; Srivats Bharadwaj, Associate Professor, Department of Periodontics and Preventive Dentistry, NSVK Dental College, Rajiv Gandhi University, Bangalore; Belinda Nicolau, Assistant Professor, Unit of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, McGill University; and Jagjit Singh Dhaliwal, Periodontology, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot.
