Council meet put off

KANCHEEPURAM: The urgent council meeting, convened by Municipal Chairman V. Rajendran for November 13 to decide the fate of underground sewage network expansion project in the municipality, was postponed for want of quorum.

Mr. Rajendran said the meeting was postponed since councillors of the DMK, the PMK, and the Congress boycotted it in spite of the efforts by the Directorate of Municipal Administration to stress the need for the meeting. — Staff Reporter
