New Delhi: Two men arrested with 18 kg RDX just before the Independence Day celebrations here and suspected of having links with Babbar Khalsa militants were on Tuesday sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment by a city court.
“It stands established that both convicts wrongfully kept in their possession explosive substance for unlawful object,” Additional Sessions Judge Narinder Kumar said.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convicts Raj Kumar, 32, and Gurcharan Singh, 40, who were arrested from Punjabi Bagh nine years ago with a truck containing 18 kg of RDX.
