Kunhumohammed inaugurated the shooting of ‘Padangal Parayathathu,’ a telefilm being produced by students of Darul Hidaya Orphanage Higher Secondary School in Pookarathara, at Edapal in Malappuram district recently. The students are directing, scripting and acting for the film. The telefilm tells the story of a student who is being isolated when he tries to protect nature. The students say that the locale of the film will be those hills that had been razed down mercilessly for taking sand in Kumbidi in Palakkad district. The film is a protest against indiscriminate destruction of hills to take sand. ‘Chindabad’ an earlier telefilm by the students of this school, was well appreciated. TheHindu NIE team
