Lucknow: In a bid to streamline academic atmosphere in universities and colleges, the Uttar Pradesh Government on Wednesday decided to fill 438 vacant posts of teachers on contractual basis. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mayawati. The vacant posts would be filled by lecturers on pay scale of Rs 8,000 for three years till permanent lecturers are appointed.
