University of Kerala

Classes to begin: Classes at the Teacher Education Colleges under the University of Kerala will commence on November 19.

Elections: Elections will be held to affiliated colleges under the University of Kerala on November 30. The election notification can be viewed on the university website from 11 a.m. on Thursday.

UIT examinations: The first, third and fifth semester examinations of the B.Sc Computer Science, Electronics, BBA, B.Com Computer Applications (regular and supplementary) courses conducted by the University Institute of Technology (UIT) will begin on December 10. Applications will be received up to November 27 without fine and with fine up to the 30th.

MLISc results published: The results of the final year examination of the two-year MLISc (Masters in Library and Information Science) have been published. The first rank has gone to Amrita Raj (Reg. No. 050513).

Mathematics seminar: A three-day national seminar on Algebra and Discrete Mathematics organised by the Department of Mathematics began at the Maria Rani Centre, Gandhipuram on Wednesday. Syndicate member Jacob Mathew inaugurated the seminar. Dr.A.R. Rajan, Dr. Indrasenan, Dr. M.I. Jinnah and Dr. L. John spoke. Delegates representing universities from across the country will present papers over the next two days.

Affiliated college students eligible: Students in affiliated colleges of the university are eligible to participate in the quiz to be conducted as part of the Golden Jubilee celebrations of the Kerala Assembly. The quiz will focus on the history of the State legislature, parliamentary democracy and the fundamental principles of the Constitution.
