dated November 15, 1957: Amendment Bill

The Lok Sabha on November 13 passed the Industrial Finance Corporation (Amendment) Bill which will enable the Corporation to stand guarantee for deferred payments on import of capital goods by private enterprise. The Deputy Minister of Finance, Mr. Bhagat, told the House that it should be possible for the country to meet foreign exchange requirements on the scheme of deferred payments fully after 1959 or 1960.
