This experimental project sponsored by Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK) is an effort to initiate an all round development in rural teenagers so that they should face the problem of lacking when they come closer to their urban counterparts. Zonal project officer of the NYK Priyanath was present at the inaugural ceremony along with the chairperson of Chatrapur block Simanchal Reddy. According to Devangana Barik, a clinical psychologist, who is also the district project officer of the program, they have selected youngsters from different economic strata and belong to agriculture families. “During the 45-day program we will try to deal with the social, biological and psychological problems of the adolescents,” she said.
