Heroin seized

CHENNAI: Officers from the Narcotics Control Bureau seized 1.73 kg of heroin and arrested two Sri Lankan nationals here on Wednesday following a raid on a lodge on Wallajah Road. S. Kulaveerasingam (48) and N. Anton Devaraj (52) were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The heroin was meant for Sri Lanka, S. Davidson Devasirvatham, Zonal Director, Narcotics Control Bureau, said in a press release. — Special Correspondent
