Tsunami, treasures, tragedies all find space

It’s a poignant journey of two tsunami victims who have been orphaned. However, within their new circumstances, they subconsciously find a family. The main protagonist is a child who has lost his family and becomes an aqua phobic to the extent that he does not even touch water.

Eleven-year-old boy Foto lives in a quaint little town in the hills. One day, Foto discovers the key to a new world. The day when a caravan of travellers from a distant land come into his world and bring with them rain and lightning, magic and moments, image and colour, shots and stories, sound and music. That’s the day when a film unit from Mumbai comes to shoot and Foto is confronted with the magic of cinema. As he dips between his reality and imagination, a score of characters bring into his life new thrills, adventure, discovery, learning and lots of magic.

Tragic Story With Happy Ending

Some people are different but do not want to be so. All they want is to be like anyone else and melt softly into the crowd. Some spend their lives trying to hide their differences. Others just accept them. An animation film by Regina Pessoa from France.

Mr. Jones: The Map

Mr. Jones is on a treasure hunt. At first, there appears to be no difference between the map and the terrain. But when he finds the spot where the treasure is supposed to be hidden, things are no longer that simple. An animation film by Oystein Stene from Norway.

School Days

Set in the year 1993 at Green Valley School, the film is all about adolescence and innocence, love and infatuation, success and failure, threat and turbulence, life and death. Nikhil Awasthi, a brilliant student and the head-boy of the school died that year in the school ground in an effort to inculcate good sense into his misguided friends.

Gilli Gilli Atta

Shankar, a don-turned-businessman is delighted with the birth of his twin boys.

However, fate takes a strange turn and one baby is kidnapped by his arch rival. The police get hot in their pursuit and they decide to hide the baby in a truck. However, Lady Luck smiles in the form of Mary who decides to take care of the abandoned baby.

Tomcat

Cats have nine lives. And that is good news for the depressed Tomcat who falls in love after he loses his first life and then decides to hold onto life after all. Puppet animation from Germany by Tine Kluth.
