Two killed in road accident

BANGALORE: A car driver and a 35-year-old woman were killed when the car was hit by a sand-laden lorry near Nelamangala on Wednesday.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police A.G. Dharmaraj, Chandrashekar, a financier of Chikmagalur, along with his wife Jyothi (35) and two children were returning in a car after attending a marriage in the city.
The car was being driven Chandrashekar’s driver Raghu. The sand-laden lorry came in the opposite direction and hit the car head on near Sitaramabhattarapalya on Kunigal Road.
While Raghu (40) was killed on the spot, Jyothi died while she was being moved to a private hospital.
