Disaster management studies college soon, says K.P. Rajendran

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran announced here on Wednesday that the Government was planning to set up a college for disaster management studies.
Addressing a function got up to inaugurate a new building for the executive hostel at the Institute of Land and Disaster Management, he said the college would start functioning from the next academic year.
Mr. Rajendran said the land in possession of the Revenue Department would be put to good use. “Moves are on to plant trees,” he said.
Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs M. Vijayakumar inaugurated a herbal garden set up on the campus.
Revenue Principal Secretary Nivedita P. Haran addressed the gathering.
