Reliance enters jewellery market

Bangalore: Reliance Retail Limited announced its entry into the jewellery market on Thursday with “Reliance Jewels”. This 6,000 sq ft store of three floors will offer no les than 10,000 designs of jewellery from all parts of the country.

Models walked the ramp at the launch, displaying various collections, including a wedding collection, party wear, a heritage collection and men’s jewellery. Reliance aims to make its store “the one-stop destination” for jewellery of every kind and in every style.

Bijou Kurien, president and chief executive officer, Reliance Retail Limited, said: “we wish to deliver unbeatable value to the customer by assuring 100 per cent pure jewellery, with the widest choice of designs at competitive prices.” To add to the attraction is an introductory offer till November 30 with discounts on diamond and gold jewellery. The store will, in three years, be one of a chain of 300 Reliance Jewels stores, he added.
