CHENNAI: Mellow Circle, a society of like-minded professionals will stage a play ‘Silent Night’ this weekend. The circle is associated with social causes, particularly those related to children affected with HIV/AIDS.
‘Silent Night’, a real life World War II story set in Germany on Christmas eve in 1944 finds a German mother and her son seeking refuge in their hunting cabin on the war front. When she is invaded by three American soldiers and then three German soldiers she successfully convinces the soldiers to put aside their differences for one evening and share a Christmas dinner.
Four shows of ‘Silent Night’ will be staged at the Museum Theatre from November 16 to 18.
The play has been directed by Michael Muthu and the singing will be conducted by Augustine Paul.
