Novel approach to learning

KOCHI: An exhibition of educational CDs has begun at the Ernakulam Woodlands Hotel. Over a thousand titles on various topics are on display at the exhibition, which will conclude on November 27. The educational CDs are mostly in English, but there are titles in other languages too.

Educational CDs in French, German and Spanish, intended to help those interested in learning the foreign languages.

A separate section contains Malayalam CDs on social and scientific topics. Simple learning techniques have been adopted to explain various topics to children, said Karthik, Director, Dove Multimedia Private Ltd., the organisers of the event. There is another section devoted to those preparing for competitive examinations.

CDs dealing with topics such as interior designing, personality development, astrology, health and tourism are among the exhibits.

Similar exhibitions have earlier been held across the country and the organisers also plan to organise the shows in smaller towns.
