Simply brilliant: A girl performing at ’Brilliance 07’ in Berhampur. —

BERHAMPUR: ‘Brilliance 07’, an evening of song and dance, livened up things at the Khallikote Autonomous College Stadium here on Wednesday evening.

It was a cultural show organised by a dance institution Anwesha Kala Kendra to promote young talent of the city. Film star Sabyasachi attended the cultural show with Oriya music video actor Bidusmita.

Veteran actress from the city M. Kameswari was honoured at the function.

Known for her mono-action, she regaled the audience with her dramatic recital of dialogues of mythological characters like Duryodhan, Kamsa, Ravan, Krishna etc.

The show comprised of solo and group dances. Most of the solo performances were by children of primary and play schools. Some major modern dance groups of the city also performed during the show. Some children and youths also sang popular Hindi, Telugu and Oriya songs as interludes between the dance performances.
