Krishnagiri: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in association with Community Development Society (CDS) will organise an Incentive-based Rural Entrepreneurship Development Programme (REDP) on computer training for women at Hosur from November 19. In a release, the Assistant General Manager, NABARD, V. Thirumalai, said that a sum of Rs. 0.88 lakh had been extended to CDS, Hosur, for the purpose. Forty beneficiaries in the age group 18 to 35 had been identified for training. The training inter alia covers various aspects viz, inputs on entrepreneurship development and management of enterprises such as achievement motivation, opportunity identification and guidance, knowledge of supporting organizations and schemes (PMRY, TAHDCO, SGSY, DIC, KVIC/KVIB etc), management of resources, preparation of project reports, marketing of products, market perceptions and assessment of market potential, book keeping/accounting etc and arrangement of field visits. UnitsAt the end of training, escort services will be provided by the NGO to enable beneficiaries to tie up with banks with a view to enable them set up units on their own. Mr. Thirumalai said that an incentive-based REDP on biomanure training to 25 beneficiaries had been granted to M/S Sanjeevi Trust for a period of two weeks. The training will commence in December. An sum of Rs. 32 lakh had been extended as grant by NABARD to the trust.
