184 cases filed after excise raids
BANGALORE: The Excise Department has filed 184 cases of illegal production and transportation of liquor. Thirty-nine people have been arrested.
Raids carried out by the department led to the recovery of a number of vehicles used to transport liquor and huge quantities of liquor, together worth Rs. 1.28 crore. The raids were conducted from July 1 to October 24, according to a press release issued by Additional Commissioner of Excise, Vigilance Squad, H.C. Eerappa. — Special Correspondent
