Sarma, Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran and others will participate. Set up by the Kochi-based Falcon Infrastructures Limited at a cost of Rs.25 crore in 10 acres of land, the CFS has 50,000 sq.ft. of warehousing facility. It is in close proximity to the proposed road and rail links to the Vallarpadam International Container Terminal. The CFS would have facilities for stuffing and de-stuffing, in-house customs clearance, banking and computerised documentation. It would also have a workshop, petrol pump, shopping complex, clinic, restaurant and dormitories, said N.A. Mohammed Kutty, Managing Director of Falcon Group. The expected annual turnover would be Rs.10 crore. The turnover was expected to go up manifold after the opening of the Vallarpadam Transhipment Terminal. Similar freight stations would be set up in Mangalore, Vizhinjam, Coimbatore and Chennai, he said. The Group was planning to set up a Special Economic Zone for services sector in 250 acres in Ernakulam, in collaboration with Container Corporation Limited. It was also planning to go public to mobilise Rs.500 crores for its diversification and expansion.
