Aloysius schools to meet in final

MANGALORE: It will be an Aloysius High School affair in the final of the Hangyo Cup cricket tournament which would be played at the Nehru Maidan here on Saturday. Aloysius HS (Kodialbail) defeated MRPL High School (Kuthethur) by 73 runs in the second semifinal on Thursday to join its schoolmates from Urwa in the final.

Karthik (34 and four for 33) played an important role in his team’s win.

The scores (semifinal): Aloysius HS 223 for nine in 40 overs (Diganth Nayak 57, Karthik 34, Ajay four for 36) bt MRPL HS 150 in 30 overs (Susheel Rati 39, Karthik four for 33). — Staff Correspondent
