State restricts quota to 50 p.c.

BHUBANESWAR: The government on Thursday decided to restrict reservations to 50 per cent in keeping with an interim order of the apex court on the issue. A total of 65.75 per cent government jobs were reserved for different categories of people at present. While quota for SCs and STs will remain unchanged, that of BCs will be brought down to 11.25 per cent.
