THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hyderabad crushed Goa by an innings and 69 runs in the South Zone Polly Umrigar Trophy under-15 cricket tournament at the Agriculture College ground here on Thursday.
A patient half-century by P. Abhishek Mehra (55) enabled Tamil Nadu to take the first innings lead against Andhra at the LNCPE ground.
Abhishek stood firm when wickets fell around him as Tamil Nadu took an 18-run lead in reply to Andhra’s first innings total of 154.
The scores: Hyderabad 374 for five decl. in 83 overs bt Goa 125 in 38.2 overs (Rayan Kaudinya three for 32) & 180 in 53.4 overs (Darshan Vishal five for 56, Vinay Rao five for 64).
Kerala 210 in 116.4 overs (Abhishek Mohan 105, Sally Samson 31) vs. Karnataka 208 for three in 59 overs (Shreyas Gopal 86 n.o., Aman Raj 72 n.o.).
