Team effort: Dhoni

Sports Reporter

Gwalior: Indian captain M.S. Dhoni said that the series win was a team effort. “The bowlers and batsmen have done well,” he said.

When asked on the questions raised on the team’s capabilities at ODIs after the loss to Australia, he said, “the result here says everything. I have nothing more to say.”

The captain said that he was surprised Malik chose to bat. “I would have bowled first anyway.”

On the current Pakistan team when compared to the past ones, he said, “the earlier teams were more aggressive, and played better. This team is trying, but are not as aggressive.”

The captain also added that players who hadn’t played so far would get a chance at Jaipur.

On Tendulkar’s knock he said, “what can we say about Sachin,” also adding that he hoped the genius would break the jinx and get his next hundred.

On his partnership with Yuvraj, he said, “We complement each other well. We get chances to bat together cause of where we bat,” he said. Shoaib Malik said that bowling cost the team the match.

“I chose to bat looking at the past record here. Sachin’s innings was the difference in the match.”
