KASARAGOD: Two houses of CPI (M) sympathisers were destroyed at Minappese beach at Kanhangad on Thursday night. The police said houses of B. Ratnakaran and Sushila Rajan were destroyed in the violence. A hartal was observed at the beach on Friday following a call by the CPI (M). The CPI (M) leaders said Indian Union Muslim League workers were behind the violence. Minappese beach and nearby Vadakara Mukku has been witnessing clashes between workers of CPI (M)and IUML during the past few days. Several houses had been attacked and damaged by the clashing workers of both the parties. — Staff Reporter
