Colour TV sets

VILLUPURAM: The women’s wing of the Muslim Makkal Kazhagam that met here with Siraj Begum in the chair recently has appealed to the State government to distribute free cooking gas connections and colour television sets without any political bias.

In a resolution adopted, the kazhagam said that the benefits were made available only to the people of those wards where Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidates had won.

In another resolution, it welcomed the Tehelka expose on the Gujarat riots and called upon the Centre to bring to book all those involved in it.
