Headmasters told to improve SSC results

ANANTAPUR: Collector N. Sridhar asked the headmasters of high schools in the district to put together all their efforts to prepare the students well for the SSC examinations this year to improve the results. He mentioned that the district was at the bottom with 55 per cent results last year.

Speaking at a meeting with the headmasters, the DEO and other officials here on Friday , he said it was embarrassing to admit that Anantapur district was at the rock bottom when it was topping the State in the implementation of several welfare and development schemes. He mooted measures like special coaching classes, daily slip tests, weekly reviews and grading for improving students’ performance.
