dated November 17, 1957: Value of training

Prime Minister Nehru, in a message on the eighth anniversary of the Territorial Army on November 16 has said that he would wish that more and more people in our country could take advantage of the training that the Territorial Army gives. In a message he said, “On this day I send my greetings and good wishes to all ranks in it. This force is a reserve force. It does not interfere with peaceful vocations and at the same time it trains persons for national service, thus not only preparing them for emergencies but making them better citizens.”
