ALAPPUZHA: An engineering student who was on a holiday here went missing after he jumped into the water near the R-Block of Kuttanad along with a friend from the houseboat in which they were travelling. Vinod, 24, and his friend hired a houseboat after arriving from Chennai. Local people rescued the friend. Meanwhile, search is on for Vinod, who is suspected to have been swept away by strong undercurrents.
