South Zone keeps winning

KOCHI: South Zone defeated North by nine wickets and posted its second consecutive victory in the Kerala State under-17 inter-zone cricket championship at the St. Paul’s College Ground here on Thursday.

South’s Ansaf Karim (four for 12) and North’s P.M. Ansal (36 and three for 18) impressed in the three-dayer which ended in two days.

Central plays North in the next match which begins on Saturday.

The scores:

North Zone 106 in 43.2 overs (Ansaf V. Karim four for 12, Tony Jose three for 23, Jeevan Raj three for 24) & 150 in 52 overs (Rohit Ravindran 31, P.M. Ansal 36, Aswhin Sharma three for 34) lost to South 153 in 46 overs (T.P. Sachin three for 42, P.M. Ansal three for 18) & 104 for one in 17 overs (K.G.
