More scholarships announced

NEW DELHI: Mayor Arti Mehra has announced an increase in the number and amount of scholarships for meritorious students studying in Municipal Corporation of Delhi-run schools.

In a statement, she said the number of scholarships was being increased to 21,000 from 15,000. The amount awarded is being increased to Rs.500 from the existing Rs.400 for Class IV students and to Rs.700 from Rs.500 for Class V students.
