Better facilities sought for pilgrims
Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress(M) leader Jose K. Mani has charged the government with criminal negligence in providing adequate facilities to the Sabarimala pilgrims.
In a statement here on Friday, he said that several issues such as water supply, ensuring the availability of wholesome food and cleaning were yet to be addressed. The agitation by the doctors would worsen the situation. He urged the government to take strong action against the water lobby, which created artificial water shortage in order to sell bottled water, and the hotel lobby, which jacked up the prices of food items. — Special Correspondent
