Worker killed

Ramulu, 40, died when a boiler in the tyre retreading company he was working exploded due to high pressure in the early hours of Friday at Autonagar in Vanasthalipuram. He hailed from Srikakulam.

He was working close to the boiler when it blew up.

The impact of the explosion impact threw him to the roof after hitting which he sustained serious injuries and died on the spot, the police said.

Skeletal remains found

The skeletal remains of an unidentified man, believed to be a beggar, were found inside Krishna water pipeline under construction close to Nagole bridge on Friday.

A passer-by alerted the Uppal police as foul smell emanated from the pipe when he went there to answer nature’s call.

Burglar held

The Commissioner’s Task Force (South) team on Friday arrested Md. Ibrahim, who was allegedly involved in nearly 15 crimes of chain snatchings and burglaries in the city, at Bandlaguda in Chandrayanagutta.

A stolen motorcycle was recovered from his possession, a press release said.

RTC bus knocks down youth

A motorcyclist on his way to an exam was fatally knocked down by an APSRTC bus on road no. 6 at Abmerpet on Thursday.

The victim B. Yugandhar Raju, 25, was going from his house in Patelnagar to the Osmania University campus on his bike when an oncoming bus of Uppal depot hit him around 8 a.m.

He died on the spot.
