KOCHI: Three Keralites were deported back to the Cochin International Airport from three separate destinations on Friday. Shahu, 48, a resident of Chavakkad, who had left for Abu Dhabi on Wednesday was deported after it was found that he was sent back four years ago under amnesty. There is a ban on entry against those returning under amnesty, Emigration officials said. Anjalo Jose Kalliyath, 25, hailing from Kottayam, had been in London since 2004 on a student’s visa. On October 15, he left for London after visiting home. The airport authorities in London interrogated him about the course he was purported to be studying. He failed to respond satisfactorily and was deported, sources said. Asha George, 27, a resident of Kottayam, works as a lab technician in Jeddah. She was deported back on her return to Jeddah after visiting home recently. The period inscribed on the Arabic translation of her visa was found to have expired. However, she had the job licence, officials said.
