TIRUNELVELI: The Indian Bank will conduct a ‘home loan mela’ at its Tirunelveli Junction branch on Sunday (November 18) from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A statement said loan will be given for construction or purchase of new house to the salaried class, professionals, self-employed and businessmen, who have put in a minimum of three years experience in their field. Thirty-six times of gross monthly income or sixty times of net monthly income will be the loan amount. Pirated VCDs seizedA pirated video compact disc manufacturing unit was busted near here on Saturday. The police said a team raided the premises of Kamaraj at Thatchanallur and seized 816 pirated VCDs. The Commissioner of Police, M.N. Manjunatha, visited the spot. Kamaraj is absconding.
