Special buses for Karthigai deepam

SALEM: Salem Division of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation will run special buses to the ‘Karthigai deepam’ festival in Tiruvannamalai from various places in the districts of Salem, Namakkal, Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri from November 23 to November 25.

A press release from its Managing Director says that these buses will be operated from Salem, Attur, Edapadi, Mettur, Sankagiri in Salem district, Namakkal, Tiruchengode and Rasipuram in Namakkal district and Dharmapuri, Krishnagiri, Pennagaram, Hosur, Palakode, Pennagaram and Tirupattur. All the buses barring the ones starting from Tirupattur and Attur would be operated via Uthankarai.

Meanwhile, the administration of Sri Arunachaleshwarar Temple in Tiruvannamalai said that the ‘Maha Karthigai’ festival would be held on Nov. 24.
